Who is not saving India? Everybody these days seems to be in the line to
save India. Just have a look at this list
A political party with a stale ideology wants to save the country from
augmenting its energy needs.
A set of traders want to save the consumers and farmers from getting a
better deal through organized retail
A bunch of cricket board officials want to save cricket in the country by
ensuring that less of the game is played.
A set of telecom operators want to save the consumers from more
competition entering into their field.
The entire Government Machinery is committed to save the country from
transparency despite the existence of the RTI Act.
The entire media wants to save you from news on invisible corruption and
harsh realities of life by putting on its headlines news on movie gossip.
The entire stock market wants you to believe that fall of the stock market
means the end of the Indian Economic Growth
A set of chain email senders want to make you believe that a strong rupee
is good for the country.
This country it seems has more heroes than villains but Independent
India’s history suggests that it is villains who established industries,
liberalized imports, brought in the computers and mobiles who have
ensured that this country continues to progress. Actually, the entire
mankind has progressed more because of the villains who ushered in the
change.
Please bring on the villains, Vijayadashmi has come and gone, Ravan has
been burnt to ashes. Villian bashing can wait till next year.

Balu
